Seaview Apartment In Fort Cambridge, Sliema by Buena Vista

We had the 2 bedroom apartment. The property is nice, as advertised.Is very conveniently located next to the shopping mall but also walking distance( 3-5 mins) to the promenade area. The apartment is clean, spacious and equipped with all needed.

To start with: checkin process. After booking the apartment I was confronted with the requirement of signing a questionable rental contract, the property conditioning to it the provision of check in details. This was not informed by the property policy and had to be clarified via Booking support system. Though the property didn’t require it afterwards, the practice is not transparent and not appreciated. I lost more than 1 h to clarify and generated stress. After Booking intervention, communication went smoothly. The apartment: We had the bad luck of cold days in Malta. During the first night, the ventilation system didn’t work, having a technical malfunction. We spent the night in cold, very uncomfortable, and had to contact the company the second day to fix it. It required stopping the electricity in the whole apartment for 10 minutes to reset it. The sink in one bathroom was pretty clogged, the water was very slowly drained. The view from terrace is not ideal, but ok given that is a residential complex.

The location is close to all amenities and within walking distance to the ferry station. There are a lot of cafés nearby and the apartment is right next to the shopping mall.

Buena Vista, the company managing the apartment, asked me to sign a rental contract in advance even though it listed an incorrect security deposit amount. They continued to insist that I sign it, and only corrected the amount after I refused for several days. To receive the keys, I was also asked to call them while on my way from the airport to the apartment. When I did, I received a rude response from their employee, Paulina, who told me to call again only once I had actually arrived at the apartment, and only then would they leave their office. I found this attitude unprofessional, and the communication style was disappointing. The amenities provided were also inadequate, only two toilet paper rolls for three people during an eight-day stay. When I mentioned this, they claimed that the property was self-catering. If you plan a longer stay, be prepared to purchase basic necessities yourself.

The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. This is truly a wonderful apartment that is very close to shops, restaurants and all transport links. We had a few small issues but the management team sorted the same day, very efficient.

Nothing, knife sharpener would help as the sharp knifes were blunt.

Large apartment, lots of storage space and big balcony. Quiet area. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of crockery. Large fridge freezer. Washing machine (not mentioned in the advert). Large shallow pool (no shortage of sunbeds). Great air con (in most rooms). Comfortable sofa. Excellent pick up and drop off service to/from airport. Great view and excellent sound proofing. Safe and secure apartment. Responsive team when issues were raised. We were allowed to check in early which was a huge help and Edward was very informative.

- Pool was completely in the shade from 14:30 onwards - Minimal glassware - minimal cutlery - poor quality and minimal cooking utensils inc kitchen knives - no instructions for any appliances - main shower head missing in main bathroom - TVs were unusable as there were no channels tuned in to either TV - water pressure was low and the shower in the en suite fluctuated between hot and cold - Sink plug was stuck in main bathroom - Poor drainage from en suite sink - Would have preferred larger bath towels - Huge balcony but no sun loungers or furniture for outdoor eating - Outdoor furniture that was provided was uncomfortable - No black out blinds - More information would have been welcomed in advance - welcome pack with basics or a list of what was provided, there was a bottle of water in the fridge - Only provided with one fob for the pool initially. With 4 people staying it would have been less hassle if we’d had 4 keys for the apartment, 4 pool access fobs and 4 building access fobs - Further information regarding the area and a guest book for hints and tips - Please note if you have mobility issues Sliema is very hilly and the property is on a hill, the pavements and roads throughout the area are in poor condition - Apartment needs better general maintenance

Der var ikke nok bestik. Tallerkener var for store til opvaskemaskinen , irriterende. Vi fik ikke skiftet sengetøj og håndklæder efter 1 uge som lovet . Vi havde ikke adgang til poolen i 2 dage da vi ikke blev informeret adgangsmetoden var lavet om fra kode til chip . I burde have skrevet til os og informeret os om ændringen i proceduren og hvad løsningen var.
