It's not my first time being in Taranto, and as I wanted to stay in Magna Grecia again I was specifically looking for accommodation there. Was not disappointed: the room overlooked a smaller street (not via Cesare Battisti), so it was fairly quiet all day, it was cosy and spacious enough for a single visitor. There's a supermarket directly across the B&B, and along the same street there are multiple grocery stores, bakeries, bars ecc. to satisfy pretty much every need. There are also multiple bus stops with busses taking you to the town center. Breakfast is served in Bar Riccione (typical Italian-style, consisting of coffee and pastries - I'm a fan of this kind of morning meal, but if you're not used to it, it won't fill you). Right next to it, there is also a pizzeria working in the afternoon and evening (the panzerotti are delicious, I recommend them). Both the bar and the pizza place are owned by the host, and you will often find him there during the day - he's available at all times, make sure to save the phone number. Ci rivediamo!
