The Salvation Army RED SHIELD GUEST HOUSE

Nothing! It was an insult the the good name and charitable work of the Salvation Army. However, the cleaning staff and night watchmen were kind.

Booking.com advertise balconies ... there is not one balcony at this property. There were bed-bugs. Reception charged me Rs2800 commission on three train tickets ... a markup of 40%. Dishonest management.

The location of the hotel.

I travel alone. I stayed in the Dormitory room where 14 beds were present. I do not have any issue with the bed, but sanitation and hygiene was little bit absent. Also there dormitory security was not properly ensured (I have no complain, but no facility to ensure that you can fill your belongings was safe back in the dormitory). They had locker but no lock in most of the locker. They did not clean the bed sheet and pillow cover until you ask. According to dormitory facilities their price is little bit high.

No breakfast was provided to me.Even no one ask me.

Staff attitude

Location is close to New Market. Restaurants like Voj, Kasturi and dawat are nearby to hotel (3-5 minutes walking distance)

Lift is too congested. Only 3-4 people can accommodate at a time

The room was so expensive and its not the same as it was mentioned in the apps
