The place is really tired. The rooms are pretty bare bones. And the food fair. The menu in the main restaurant is very limited and breakfast was bad. The Speakeasy was decent with only bar food.

What a gem we have right here in our city. While I have visited the Christmas pop up bar, taken photos in the lobby and attendeed tea at the Terrace room, we had not yet stayed at the hotel. It's gorgeous, well maintained, and very comfortable--just classic. The overall stay was amazing and we loved being tourist in our own city!

The location is great.

The lobby areas and rooms are looking worn and dated, a renovation is needed. Some of the staff were good but some were rude. The bathtub did not drain properly, the heating didn’t work properly, and the room next to us had very noisy guests.

"My new favorite pittsburgh hotel"

I decided to have a mini getaway for my birthday, and the Omni made it amazing. All staff were fabulous, Kyren and the front desk staff went out of their way for me and the ladies at the speakeasy and the taphouse were amazing. This is an older, historic building, complete with quirks and charm. Amazing water pressure. I will absolutely return to this wonderful hotel. Great people, great location, clear winner.

"Not What We Expected"

Went with adult children for a long weekend to see our kids who live in Pittsburgh. The Omni was disappointing. Our toilet did not flush, the bathroom fan was dying an a honing death, the room was empty all day on a Saturday but not cleaned; we had to ask for fresh towels and did receive them. In Saturday morning before 8:30, a housekeeper stood in the linen closet opposite our room and spoke loudly on the phone for an extended conversation. The mattress was hard and the pillows were stiff. It just was not the bang for the buck we expected, at all. Our adult children’s room wasn’t serviced either, and they left a day earlier than we did. We have stayed at another luxury hotel nearby in the past and will return there. We just thought the Omni would be special, but it is an empty package, albeit beautifully wrapped. The Omni’s lobby is the best thing about the hotel, and you can enjoy it without suffering in one of their rooms.
