Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta Kennesaw

I'd actually love to give this Fairfield an excellent rating, but I can't because of the decision made to keep the hotel open while renovations of the common areas were in process. The room itself, which had already been renovated was great. Tile, carpet, and furnishings had mostly been replaced. It looked "new." However, a chair was missing and bedside lighting was obviously waiting for installation and had been substituted with a couple of lamps too large for the existing tables. Yes, I was missing a few small items, but the waste basket. light bulb, and refrigerator I asked for were brought up promptly. Which brings me to the staff. STELLAR. All I heard for six days was them apologising for things that were not their fault and they had no control over. Every one of them should be given a bonus. They were unfailingly, to a person, polite, professional, and helpful. But, the ground floor was a mess and I can't believe the insurance company approved any of these areas being open while this was going on. Rooms, you can renovate in stages and stay open, but for six days we walked over tile being laid with spacers and levelers sticking out everywhere. Concrete was being broken up. Exercise machines were in the hallway. The sole, shaky elevator got stuck at least once, trapping another guest for 20 minutes. One night we returned only to have one of the employees have to pry the outside door open with their fingers. What were you thinking? When It's done, it will be a great Fairfield in a good location near Kennesaw State and highway access. But, for now? No.

I scheduled my wee long stay for my son's graduation from KSU. When I arrived i found the hotel undergoing major renovations. I was never informed prior to my arrival or i would have make other arrangements. I had a beautiful view of a dumpster. Obviously, I worked very hard to stay away from the hotel for the week. The management and/corporate offices knows when renovations will take place. There is no reason to inconvenience guests. Guests should be informed well in advance about any such work. I will never recommend this hotel again because of the lack of consideration by the management.

We had a nice stay and this will be our new go to hotel when passing through Atlanta. Great value. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfy. The breakfast was good. The staff was nice and helpful. Shout out to Razah, Tabitha, Shawn and Ann.

There are renovations happening at the property, but it was clean and the staff was friendly.

The hotel was having work done and was not told before booking. View was just the parking lot. Way over priced for location and facilities. Room had a glue like smell. Other hotels in the area with better facilities and better pricing.

Our bathroom smelled of urine. Breakfast bar was the poorest quality I have ever experienced. Stayed one night of our one week stay, checked out and found other accommodations.

Construction is going on but the hours are very considerate. The exterior has an enormous dumpster out front which is off-putting. The woman who was on the evening check-in desk -Tina -had zero personal skills. Not a hello, not a smile. Just cracking her gum as she looked up the reservation. Very disappointing. The morning desk person was very nice. Room was great. Bed very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower!

The ONLY 'negative' - the wifi was slow - and that the wifi and TV occasionally 'locked up' (froze').....the wifi was 'slow' the entire time, the tv 'froze' only for a few seconds at a time....The room, and personnel on staff (p.m. and a.m.) were EXCELLENT!!!
