Pas de clim fonctionnelle, pas d'ascenseur avec des bagages pour plusieurs semaines, pas pratique. Impossible de stationner prêt de l'hôtel. Si vous avez 20 ans et l'âme globe trotter et la fête à la porte c'est ok. A 60 ans et à la recherche de praticité et de calme à proscrire totalement. sinon pas de petit déjeuner dans l'hotel, aucun personnel à demeure avec une porte d'entrée toujours ouverte, merci la sécurité. et restauration très chère en particulier le week-end. Pas de coffre fort dans la chambre. Trop de cloches, églises collés à l'hotel.

A quiet location, with parking only a short (100ms) walk away. I arrived very late so it was a 'bumpy' check in, and I had had problems on my journey, but the gentleman was gracious even though it was late. Unfortunately I had to leave very early the next day so did not get to check out the area for coffee / breakfast etc.,

there is no lift, so if you are 'elderly', request a room on the ground floor, or if travelling alone as a female, keep it light! I had a car full, and so had to take a case / luggage with me, and my room was 2nd floor. Lovely room but late at night after a long drive with luggage.... hmmm

Lovely staff, nice clean comfortable hotel

It would have been super helpful to have in the same email as door codes etc where to park, as it is really close by but not an easy town to drive around if you aim for the hotel

I thought I had paid for the hotel through bookings.com but this was not the case . Nobody from the hotel asked for payment or even approached us . Later when they realised we had not paid , they tried to call but when I called back, nobody spoke English . I left messages with the hotel and bookings.com asking for payment to be made with my credit card. Until yesterday when you finally got back to me and accused me of failure to pay ! You will finally be doing what I asked you to do on Oct 31.

Location slightly difficult to find

Although bang in the old centre of Cascante, with the busy bar immediately below and the annual fiestas going on, my room was rear-facing so was quiet

The breakfast options available at the El Lechuguero bar below were very basic. Also, it didn't open until 9am, which was a bit late if you wanted to make an early start

I liked the mixture of old and new. New where needed, like the bathroom and comfort. The town would be an interesting place to spend an evening, lots of old streets with bars and cafes etc to enjoy after a long trip in the car and to enjoy typical Spanish towns with hidden gems etc

The town is great to be in but a nightmare, like most old places to find your way around. To locate the place I needed a reliable satnav and in places it was impossible to get a signal. I did pass the restaurant but there is no parking at all (note the page shows parking is available - 200m away in a very public space? Going around the town there are two large, clear, dedicated signs to this place, the second indicating the 'habitaciones' and the 'restaurant in two different locations?? When I arrived at the Restaurant I was actually at the back door, the kitchen entrance - despite large signs above. The accommodation entrance to the rooms is alongside. Why, I asked politely, are there two locations and the manager looked at me confused and said, "no, all the accommodation is with the restaurant"( as indicated on the map). I explained the signs and he still looked confused - I should have taken a picture of it. The staff seemed indifferent to me after that, I would even say racist, asking me where I am going, what I am doing in Spain without any interest in the answers. This is typical of an older Spanish generation and very common in post-Brexit times if you are perceived as English. I am mixed race and know this when I see it. They are not present on site if the restaurant is closed and when the Wifi started for ten minutes and worked fine, it then went into an absolute crawl. I gave up, enough difficulty for one day Later it seemed very quiet, despite the restaurant below but then I was reminded what the disadvantage of booking accommodation in the centre of town can be. Noise; motorbikes racing, people shouting randomly at each other, amazingly loud public music, etc. Not ideal for voyagers with long journeys ahead. It would have been nice to have the windows open but the public street outside rises and is in line with the view and the public would have a direct view back in return.
