Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

I liked the location.

The door to our room had to be forced closed or else anyone could have come in our room.

How easy it was to check in. The staff was very friendly. Love that there is breakfast included!

All staff was rude, woke up every few hours by doors slamming. Cleanliness was horrible, beds were very uncomfortable and they have very small tvs.

1st shift receptionist, she was cool..

Cleanliness

Most of the breakfast was gone. I had to ask for a restock. It was still an hour before the end of breakfast. There was not many options. I’m glad the pool was open but it was absolutely ice cold. There wasn’t much else to enjoy there.

The room wasn’t clean. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom and in the shower. The tv fridge and everything were unplugged. So I had to move furniture to plug back in and wait for the fridge to cool down. There was a yellow tooth pick flosser in the entertainment center. The air conditioner was so loud at all times while it was running. Room 307. It was obnoxious. There were missing light bulbs in the room so we only had two lights. A couple plug ins had zero power in them. I checked in online but it didn’t matter there was 7 people in the check in line when I was arriving and she said online check in doesn’t count for this establishment so my husband, 7yr old and 3yr old just had to sit there for 30 minutes while she did all the check ins. And you wouldn’t even believe it… she gave us the key to the wrong room. So we finally got to our room and couldn’t get in. I had to go all the way back down. I also watched another family use their key on their room and walk in on a naked guy who was yelling this is my room, I’m naked. She gave another set of guests someone else’s room. The desk lady was also bare foot when she was checking everyone in, and had to walk to some room in the middle of check out because her son couldn’t fix something that was broken. So that took a lot of extra time, and she HAD NO SHOES ON…..

Not much options for breakfast, the heater is very loud in the rooms.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the workout room twice while I was there. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was really easy to get to right off the freeway and had a great restaurant next door.

It would have been nice to have a Greek yogurt or some other protein for breakfast. Way too many carbs were the only choices.
