Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Bed was comfy. Staff was very accommodating. Our first night, room was musty, damp, toilet wouldn't flush. In the morning I asked for a different room, and staff was very eager to please us. We were moved to an upper floor for our second night, and the room was fine.

Breakfast was limited... only 1 kind of yogurt, 1 kind of muffin.

Location was lose to the gym we needed to be at in the morning.

Phone was not working. Front desk had to call my cell phone. MOLD consumed the fridge (horrible odor when you opened it as well) in our room and we were told to either use the front desk fridge (unacceptable as we were using the food and drink we brought for the night) or she could change it out the next day- after we were GONE and checked out of the hotel (unacceptable). When asked to speak to a manager, the front desk said she would call him and left for the back room. I waited and returned to my kids in the room when she didn't return. She then tried calling my cell phone and I walked down to the front desk as the room phone was not in working order-it would ring, you just could not answer it. She said she could wash out the mold with warm water. Unacceptable. It was already 8:30pm and she said she could barely walk (meaning it would take a long time) I tried to find another hotel, but all were booked solid with no availability. I was forced to go buy a cooler and we had to stay. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was not working either. We had to go to the 2nd floor for ice that night and the next morning. It was NOT good. I was NOT happy for my kids.

The room was basic, but very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Our room could have been cleaned better, there were pieces of paper on the floor and a roll of wrapping paper next to the heater.

Perfectly good place to rest a night. Tasty waffles. Friendly.
