This is a higher-end property in the Loop, close to many of the big theaters. The lobby and public spaces are beautifully decorated. I enjoyed my rather small single standard room, though I had to keep the bathroom and closet doors shut to avoid running into them. The hotel has multiple eating options attached to it, but none are open on the weekend. Free coffee, tea and scones are available every day but the nook where they are offered can only be reached via steps, at least as far as I could see--I was concerned for guests who might be mobility-impaired.

Stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights. Very convenient to everything. Very friendly staff (especially Lucy). Service was quick and friendly. Food I had AMAZING Goats Cheese and hubby had beautiful burger with skinny fries. Definitely cannot fault this hotel and wld highly recommend.

Terry at the front desk was outstanding. He was welcoming, professional, and very helpful from the moment we arrived. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, and his positive attitude made a lasting impression. I also want to mention the night staff member (the "night guy"), who assisted us, whose name we unfortunately did not get. He was just as friendly and helpful, and we truly appreciated the great service from both of them.

Location was excellent and staff were wonderful. Lobby and lounge/bar were quite beautiful. Bed was very comfortable, and easy to control thermostat. Big room with great sitting area, TV was large and could swivel to sitting area or toward the bed.

No in-room coffee maker, but service could bring it up. Our room was larger than I expected but the bathroom was quite small, approx 25sq ft. It didn't have a single, solid door, it had 2 side-by-side door panels that opened like a wardrobe. With the door open you were looking directly at the toilet, and the 2 ft. wide sink/vanity was in a tiny nook next to the toilet, making it a bit awkward for hair, makeup, and teeth brushing. Full-sized tub/shower had excellent water pressure though lol.

I loved the accommodating staff and beautiful decor. The smell in the main lobby was heavenly. I intend to make this my annual hotel stay for my girlfriend and I. Absolutely amazing. And I cannot stress enough how lovely the staff are.

Leaving. We loved it at The Allegro... Will be returning.
