Hotel Arisha

The room was very nice but the court yard was a loud bar at night. Also the Medina was disappointing

It was in a good location, the staff quite friendly. But in 1 week my room was not cleaned once, and the towels only changed once (only because I asked!). The new towel had a huge hole in it! The air conditioning worked well, except that it continually blew dust onto the bed which I had to wipe off every evening. After 5 nights the water refused to drain from the shower, which meant I was stepping into used water for the last 2 nights! Fortunately the hotel served alcohol in the very nice internal courtyard. I would not stay here again because of the room problems mentioned above! Yes, I know it is Tunisia and only in my opinion a 2 star hotel, but I was still disappointed!

It’s perfect hotel in perfect place! But WiFi may be more strong.

This is an attractive small hotel in Houmt Souk, Djerba where I stayed, for one night just before and one night just after, New Year 2006/7. The hotel has an outdoor plunge pool within the central courtyard area, and off this area are the small and rather troglodyte restaurant and bar. The food was unremarkable but edible, while the clean en-suite rooms were simply/traditionally furnished and equipped with air conditioning/heating. The only problems were: damp beds on the first night and a lack of hot water during both stays which was eventually rectified. On the second night the heater was left on all night, making a big difference. Rated above average for its charm and unspoilt atmosphere.
