"Never again"

4.0

My friend and I arrived around 10:45 AM and the double queen room we requested was not available at 3:00 PM, so we accepted a king room, as we were meeting friends for dinner at 5:00, and needed to freshen up a bit. The room on the 10th floor was nice enough, but there was a loud group of middle school boys running up and down the hallway and slamming doors at 11:00 PM. I did not see any parents or adult chaperones. We weren’t permitted to use the gym or indoor pool facilities while waiting for a room to become available, which was very upsetting. Do you know how boring it is hanging out in a hotel lobby for four hours?!? When we finally did visit the pool area later in the evening, we couldn’t find any towels. It didn’t much matter because the pool was filthy on the bottom. No way was I getting in! The hotel restaurant Rain is a complete joke. The website states they open at 5:00 PM for dinner; we were not seated until 5:15. The menu is extremely limited and the food is not good. My soup was cold when it arrived. I tried to call for room service because I was hungry since I had not eaten much for dinner, and no one ever answered the phone. The signage in the parking garage is very confusing. When we went to leave the next morning, I was unable to find my car. I sent my friend in to look for it. She found it, but she texted me that she could not find her way out of the garage! Thanks to Gary the doorman; he was very nice and walked me to my car while my friend waited with our luggage outside the lobby. Also, there is no walkway that connects the hotel to Towson Town Center as stated and pictured in the photos. Very disappointing.

"Very unpleasant"

4.0

Terrible. It wasn't cheap, but parking a car is an additional $15/day (wasn't mentioned when making the reservation). OK, that was almost a hundred or more for a 6-night stay, but the parking garage entry/exit arms also often didn't work. You have to put your car in park, flashers going, with cars waiting behind you, and run into the hotel lobby for them to give you a new ticket. Power went out two nights; staff didn't seem to care. Fire/smoke alarms went off two nights - oddly, one night was unrelated to the power-out night. The second time, it was at maybe 2:30AM. As the night before, people dressed, made their way downstairs and outside. I'd brought my computer bag with me (I mean, what if it was a fire?) and set it down on a planter. What looked like a palmetto bug scurried away. Only one worker seemed to care about the blaring alarm warnings that went on and on, maybe 20 minutes or so. And when they finally gave the 'go ahead' to return to the rooms, he rode people up on the elevator, very polite. The alarm on the floor I was staying on, 6, was still blaring, though. They'd forgotten to turn it off. Hard to get back to sleep at 3 AM after the frustrations. The room itself was fine but would not stay there again. Far too stressful.

My husband and I were here on a staycation. I booked the Sheraton mainly for the pool. Had I known the pool area is poorly maintained, I would not have booked here. Upon arrival there was a disagreement occurring with staff and someone who had recently stayed. Lastly I was given the run around about the two breakfasts that I had purchased with my stay at the front desk and at the breakfast buffet. Apparently everyone isn’t on board with how previous purchased breakfast is handle. Warning there is also a room service fee. Other than that the breakfast buffet was decent and so was the room.

"If you want decent food, it's not at this hotel."

6.0

The hotel itself was fine. Recently renovated rooms were clean and it was pretty quiet. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the location is perfect. However, the restaurant was terrible. It has only one restaurant "Rain," and was open for a limited period of time, as was Starbucks. We arrived for a convention so they had to have known how many guests would be arriving based on how many rooms were booked for that period of time. There were numerous complaints. No matter what time you went, you were told there was a 20 minutes wait. Meanwhile the restaurant had a lot of vacant tables. At one point for at least 15 minutes there was no one at the hostess desk, or any servers in the restaurant. I ordered take out, thinking it would be quicker. It took 35 minutes and it was cold when I finally got it. It was the worst $25 crab cake sandwich I ever ate and I was in Maryland!! Another person ordered a simple hamburger and said it was vile. Another said he waited an hour while other people were served ahead of him. When I was up at the front desk asking a question, there was a woman complaining about her meal and the long wait time. At this convention there were a number of celebrities. One of them came over to me while I waiting for my take out to ask directions because he could not find one person, not a server or hostess in the restaurant to ask. Really unforgivable. I would not stay here again if I had another choice. Find a place that has nice accommodations with decent food choices.

Parking is a bit of a hassle, but considering the area, not too bad. Hotel staff a small mix of subtle rude but most had excellent customer service skills. Take into account I’m a bit of a low brow individual, and had kids with me. They loved the pool btw. Overall good and the hotel staff the cleaned the rooms really brought it to an A grade experience. Thank you.
