We had a room on the top floor of the hotel (which has no elevator). Our room was a reasonable size. The hotel is slightly sprawling. Depending on which block you are in access to breakfast or the beach may be different. Breakfast is served in a smallish room on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. Beach access is very simple, the hotel has access directly at the rear of the hotel to the beach. It is possible to walk to several food outlets within about 15 minutes of the hotel. Many years ago we decided we no longer needed to take cups with us as every hotel we have ever stayed at to this point provided a cup each and something to boil water with. In fairness to the property there were two plastic cups for a cold drink. When we went down to reception and queried why did we have many kitchen appliances the kitchen otherwise contained nothing as in no cups, spoons, knifes, plates, dishes to cook stuff in, toaster, you get the idea. This is where things get weird, you can buy non disposable cookware and dinnerware sets, ($39.99 and 19.99 for 1 setting), if you are an overseas tourist there is no way you are traveling with a set of crockery etc, and have no desire to buy such things as you can't take them home with you. Once we went to reception, they were able to eventually find us some cutlery, cups, plates and bowls we were able to make a weird breakfast (no toaster) and have a hot drink.

"A large basic room at good price. "

8.0

Seems This hotel caters to workers. It is a little rough looking on the outside but the room was very large and includes a kitchen. No dishes or silverware. It was basic and smelled a bit like smoke however the price was good. Everything worked. The woman at the front desk was nice. I would go back again. I felt like I got a fair deal for the money.

"Don't expect a traditional hotel experience."

We had a room on the top floor of the hotel (which has no elevator). Our room was a reasonable size. The hotel is slightly sprawling. This is where things get weird, you can buy non disposable cookware and dinnerware sets, (refer to the photo $39.99 and $19.99 for 1 setting), if you are an overseas tourist there is no way you are traveling with a set of crockery etc, and have no desire to buy such things as you can't take them home with you. Once we went to reception, they were able to eventually find us some cutlery, cups, plates and bowls we were able to make a weird breakfast (no toaster) and have a hot drink. The property has no lift and weird non continuous stairs (as in you don't get into the stairwell and keep going down until you reach your destination). The room was a good size, and otherwise reasonable nights stay bar the fully unstocked kitchen.

"Disappointed. NO ELEVATOR! "

4.0

Though friendly and kind The hotel was poorly staffed especially late when I checked in. The room was clean, but the hotel had strong food odors at all times so I had to light a candle to neutralize the odors so I could feel comfortable and sleep. I spent very little time in the room, so it was well enough to stay in. They DO NOT have an elevator so I had to lug my luggage up two flights of stairs. The staff didn’t offer help in this. As solo woman traveling to pick up my daughter from college, the atmosphere of the hotel felt sketchy and I placed an alarm at the door to give me more security.

"Management needs improvement!"

2.0

We stayed in Extended Stay Haywood with kitchen room me and my husband for 10 days. Upon checking in a front desk a Muslim lady who barely speaks English and she made us feel uncomfortable she didn’t say anything where our room is no instructions given she gave us key card and we just figured it where our room is. As I opened our room with kitchen, floors had sticky unswept, missing hand towels, there’s 2 bath towels provided but it’s too thin and no wide enough to cover your private are, no hair dryer, bed has hair strands, dusty night stands, no tea kettle, no coffeemaker, no glass, no spoon and forks. It was terrible experience. We booked a kitchen room but we can’t even make a coffee, there’s a stove but we can’t cook no pans, there’s a microwave but there’s no plates to reheat food. No glass in the room. Our room is located in the bottom floor you can literally hear footsteps people upstairs and guests from left and right can hear people talking and babies crying. People smoking beside the front entrance doors. For one week stay we never had housekeeping service, we just have to give our used towels to front desk to get fresh ones. Our experience in this place was inconvenient. The management should do something about this issues.

We stayed in extended stay hotel for one week with kitchen. Upon check in a Muslim woman from front desk hardly speaks English and her facial expressions looks tired and ungrateful. We never had daily services for one week of stay, no hand towels. No kitchen utensils, no plates, no glasses, no pans. Nothing! Floors are sticky and looks like never mopped, nightstands thick dust, bed has hair strands. Housekeeping just gave 2 very small thin bath towels. Rooms can hear footsteps on the top floor, room walls from left and right rooms can hear other guests. Everytime we call on front desk it took 15 minutes to answer. Terrible costumer services. This is the worst Exteded Stay hotel we’ve been. It needs improvement I hope the general manager will do something about it.

"DNR list without cause, beware!"

4.0

Last fall, I spent one night at Extended Stay America in Greenville, SC (530 Woods Lake Road) on Saturday 9/14/2024. Upon checking out Sunday morning, the front desk clerk asked if she could check my room and I replied "sure." In my room, I informed her that there was a hold behind the bathroom door (which I did not realize was there until I took a shower). I even took a picture before checkout. I did not appreciate being questioned as though I was a criminal by asking me if "I'm sure I didn't do it?" That hole was there before I checked in. Moving forward, I always take pictures of my room within the first 10 minutes of checking in.. that way I won't have to experience this ordeal again. Please make sure you document everything at this facility. Although I'm on a DNR list with Extended Stay, whenever I travel, my friend makes the reservation and requests 2 keys, so I'm still able to stay at Extended Stay locations (and did so 2 weeks ago).
