"Ideal for a family let"

8.0

Dead central. Good value. Very different and spacious. Lovely old furniture

Hot nylon sheets. Odd to have the kitchen in your bedroom if you’re not one family, but that’s the nature of an old apartment.

"Wismar itself deserves more than one star in the Michelin guide - a very pretty historic town."

6.0

Very central location in the old town, on the central market square, shopping facilities nearby and cafes for breakfast (none supplied in property). Quaint old furniture gave the room and the cafe below some character. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped.

For a three-star property, there weren't enough extras - no shower gel etc, an under-equipped bathroom without hooks on which to hang towels or PJs. Tea and coffee making facilities but without any tea or coffee. The characterful use of old furniture was spoiled by the addition or random pictures that did not fit. Given all this, the price of over € 150 per night for a self-catering two-room flat in a small provincial town seemed excessive.
