They’ve spent a lot of money, trying to make their rooms worse. All of the rooms have been remodeled. The goal of this remodel was to make the rooms worse for the guests. Fewer places to plug things in. The showers used to be tubs so they are extra narrow and they didn’t think they were narrow enough so they put the soap dispensers in a spot to make them even more narrow instead of on the back wall where they belong. They are forever, gluing them back to where they get knocked off by people’s elbows. I can’t understand why they wanted to spend so much money just to make the rooms worse. This is the most convenient hotel for the Tampa airport, because it is in the airport. This is the only reason anybody would want to come to this hotel. I will continue to go to this hotel and complain every single time. My elbow is always in pain, when boarding a flight. In general Marriott properties are terrible. They don’t fix anything. They wait for the remodel. A Marriott property in Massachusetts 8 out of 10 of the rooms have nonfunctioning light fixtures. Based upon what the head of maintenance told me at that property. Instead of repairing these, they just leave them broken. So, this is the only Marriott property I will go to in the country, simply because it is convenient.
