The hostel was super clean. The common room couches were comfy. The kitchen was huge with lots of things to use. The pool was the perfect temperature. The tennis court offered an amazing view (and we wished there was a gazebo or something up that hill!) The sheep and pigs and deer were fun. The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful.

It was a bit of distance from town, but right across the street from our glowworm excursion. This isn't really a downside. There was not much free space in the room for our bags and us, but it was our first night all staying together and we hadn't worked out our own processes yet.

Amazing staff. Great location & easy access to all nearby attractions. Rooms were nice & clean. They have all the amenities you could need

My door had difficulty locking at times

L'ambiance de cette auberge est génial. C'est chaleureux, le lieu s'y prête très bien entre camping et auberge. Les espaces communs sont spacieux et très propres. Ça donne envie d'y rester et de discuter avec les gens. Il y a plus que nécessaire en ustensiles dans la cuisine, c'est agréable.

Les lits ne sont pas confortables..on voit qu'il y a de l'usure.

The hostel is perfectly located for visiting the Waitomo caves. The staff were welcoming and lovely, while my private room was clean and had easy access to the shared bathrooms.

The only limitations of this hostel are the private rooms are quite small so if you have multiple suitcases it will be a tight squeeze.
