Torel 1884 Suites & Apartments

Service was amazing! Everyone from the concierge, porters and waitstaff knew who we were. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment that is a street away from the hotel. Apartment was wonderful and had a full kitchen. No complaints at all and would highly recommend.

Delightful rooms. Spacious and thoughtfully designed. We were at the back of the hotel so quite peaceful with lovely private outdoor area. Breakfast excellent and an interesting wine selection in the evening. Very good location - easy to walk everywhere. Charming staff who were extremely helpful.

Everyone from the person who greeted us at the door, reception, dining room and the two sweet young ladies who brought us chocolates and a bookmark to our room at 7pm . We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely, giving us a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel is beautiful the first thing you see is the grand staircase that takes you to the sun drenched library. The breakfast & lunch were creative and delicious. We loved everything about this hotel and as the saying goes "if it ain't broke ,don't fix it." Nothing is broken in this establishment so there is no reason to change or fix anything. I highly recommend this small luxury hotel. .

Everything was perfect

Beautiful hotel in central location. Easy to walk to all sights. Spacious bedroom in the Palace which is the main building. Very tasty breakfast with plenty of options. All staff are wonderful, I think this could be a Porto 'thing' as we didn't meet anyone who was less than lovely and helpful. Everyone smiles a lot!. Special shout out to Pedro on reception who arranged last minute dinner reservations & port cave wine tours. Thank you.

A+ location, room, and hotel! I'm a ridiculous hotel-snob, and would highly recommend... and I'd stay there again. Great breakfast provided daily!

Great location, wonderful old building beautifully decorated, good restaurant and incredibly attentive staff.

Suites at the front a little noisy but don’t let that put you off from staying.

We had an excellent stay at Torel 1884. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very well located, but what truly stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. We were traveling with our baby, and the team made the experience feel so much easier and more pleasant. The restaurant in the hotel was also great, with excellent food and service. Overall, Torel 1884 delivered a wonderful experience, and we would happily stay here again.

Spent 3 wonderful nights here. Elegant and comfortable- in the heart of the city- very walkable - with a lovely small restaurant- served the best omelette for breakfast- had tapas and wine 2 nights- Michelin star well deserved. Room was comfortable and had the most wonderful bath tub. Bedroom upstairs - room 9- There’s a beautiful library - great place to relax in luxury. The best thing though is the staff! Luis was so helpful with a booking change. Augusta was outstanding! So friendly and personable. She makes one feel like a special guest and went above and beyond to get a forgotten bag to my river cruise boat by sending a taxi. Exceptional customer service! Thank you again Augusta! Thanks also to Daniel for his help in getting our bags to our Uber. An elegant hotel with exceptional staff. Hope to return!
