Hotel In Den Hoek

When you travel, and it's not "other peoples' money", you like to find good value. This little hotel is excellent value. You can even get an omelet or fried egg with your included breakfast. The owner is welcoming and gracious. I happened to use the desk and wifi and they worked very well.

Prijs kwaliteit is prima

Vriendelijke ontvangst door gastvrouw Valentina en meteen een drankje aangeboden gekregen bij aankomst. Ze doet er alles aan om te zorgen dat je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk verloopt, niks is te veel. Ruime kamer en grote badkamer. Pluspunt is dat het uitgebreid ontbijt altijd inbegrepen is. Heel tevreden over mijn verblijf!

Goed

The owner cooked me a lovely meal in the evening, and again I had a nice breakfast in the morning. There was plenty of parking and the room I stayed in was nice and quiet. There was a field behind to walk the dogs and the hotel also had a small garden area next to the parking.

Nothing except that the sat nav took me around the city ring road which added about half an hour or more to my journey with the traffic - whereas I should have stayed on the motorway and doubled back to the hotel as this was only a short distance from the junction.

By chance I ended up here, because my booking at another stay got cancelled. I didn't have a lot of options and was a bit hesitant about the location. But I couldn't be more wrong. I arrived at a cosy looking building, with a sunny terrace and a bunch of happy hotel guests. Got a drink on the house and felt home at once. The hotel vibe was so warm and inviting! The rooms were basic but very clean and the beds were comfortable. The windows kept the busy street noise out and I slept like rose. Breakfast was included and plenty. The same 'home' vibe, with the hostess attending to everyone's needs! I'd totally go back!
