"Stayed in worse but not many"

4.0

Let's start with the positives: the owner and staff were friendly and accommodating (to the extent that this was possible). But, the hotel does not take cards and don't advertise the fact (so if you want to stay there pay through the website); the WiFi was non-existant (I cioundn't access emails); the bed was uncomfortable (hard mattress and even harder pillows); don't look for English-language news (admittedly a particular bug-bear of mine) and there was no hot water (granted the cold water was tepid but I like the choice, especially to shave), and the area leaves much to be desired. So, despite the friendly people, I cannot recommend it.
