Escarabajo Hostel

El lugar estaba ordenado, limpio y bien organizado. La cama cómoda y ubicación de la hostal quedaba cercano a la plaza victoria y al centro así que genial. Marcela tenía buena disposición así que agradecidos por todo :)

Todo excelente menos el agua caliente

Cuando nos quisimos duchar no había agua caliente, por lo que cuando avisamos tuvieron que enchufar el termo del agua caliente, habían pasado 30 min y aún no calentaba el agua, nos retrasó nuestras salidas. El servicio debe estar atentx de enchufar el termo para tener agua caliente al otro día

La terraza, lo tranquilo del barrio, la habitación super hermetica, el ruido exterior no se sentia

El lugar es muy hermoso y está literalmente a unas cuadras de la estación de metro y del cerro donde se encuentran todos los lugares más conocidos y turísticos, el lugar es muy tranquilo para descansar y cuanta con instalaciones muy hermosas y espaciosas. Todo muy limpio, y los dueños son muy amables, fue muy excepcional, volveremos en un futuro sin duda.

.A pesar de que probablemente los dueños se preocupan de la limpieza y mantenimiento del lugar me gustaría dejar a las futuras estancias y personas que pasen por ahí, que de igual manera se preocupen de mantener lo que ellos ya tienen y preservarlo, tanto los espacios como los objetos de cocina y los lugares de descanso. Más que como crítica es una preocupación ya que el lugar es muy bonito y sería muy triste que se perdiera por gente desconsiderada. Es uno de los lugares y experiencias que se merecen cuidar.

iba con pocas expectativas, pero realmente sali muy encantada , se nota que es una casona antigua , pero muy linda , la habitacion muy comoda , el agua calientita , no pasamos frio , habia tele y podias ver netflix , disney , youtube , para poder pasar la noche viendo peliculas , muy centrico tienes un ascensor muy cercano , negocios cerca , perfecto para ir sin auto y recorrer , rico tambien para tomar desayunito afuera , en la cocina tienes todo lo necesario , ame todo y marcela fue muy amigable y siempre atenta en todo momento , volveria totalmente 🫶🏻💗

se notaba un poco descuidado el patio y un poco el sector de living pero aparte de eso todo perfecto

Very original and artsy hostel near Pablo Neruda's house.

No heater in the room

The location is great, walkable distance from the bus terminal (around 25/30min) in a safe and beautiful spot. You can walk to Pablo Neruda's home and to the main view points of the city. The hostel istelf was nice, functional kitchen, nice shared areas. The wifi network was great, we were both able to work remotely which is a plus. The room was small but comfy, although it was a bit cold because of the weather and the insulation. The bathroom was nice as well.

The hostel was almost empty so we were not bothered by the noise but there was another couple on the room just besides ours and we could hear them talking pretty distinctively. As previous comments mentioned, the sound insulation is really not great, I can't imagine how it must be during the busy season. Also the booking process is always a bit sketchy, you need to send a wire transfer through a dedicated link shared on whatspp, not very secure but it all went well in the end. Would be better to pay directly via booking.

The checking procedure was dummed. I was contacted on WhatsApp that I had to contact an other person on WhatsApp, who I was supposed to send a message when I left santiago, when I arrived in Valparaiso station, and when I arrived at the hostel, that person was not even on time there, and was very unfriendly, didnt speak english and didnt make any effort to. Bathroom, was very old and rusty, smelly, and found some hairs there. The commun spaces and the location in Valparaiso are very nice.
