Motel 6-Kearney, NE

My dad and I stayed in this Motel 6 in separate rooms so I am also giving his review on this one. He has traveled for YEARS in his career and since his retirement. He said this is the nicest Motel 6 he has ever stayed in. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Updated in recent years, the rooms have wood floors and modern decor. I have read reviews about the lack of amenities. That was no problem for us. They have a microwave and refrigerator in each room making it possible to make your own coffee and bring your own breakfast. My dad and I brought coffee cones, coffee cups and ground coffee. Please see the picture. Just great up your water in the microwave in your coffee cup. The value was amazing and it doesn't take much to bring breakfast or buy it when you're there to have in your room and make your own coffee. They do have coffee available in the lobby beginning at 6am. There is also a Casey's right across the street and a drivethru Scooter's at the end of the street. Plenty of places to get coffee and food. . The amazing value of the hotel made it possible for us to travel to see the crane migration! Thank you for the hospitality!

Nice and clean

There was no breakfast only coffee. The staff who checked me in was fabulous and friendly. The hotel was very near to the highway so that was convenient. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean.

The water was shut off at 9 am. This would have been great to get a heads up. I remember seeing that this motel had breakfast but it didn't. Also, the bed was not very comfortable. It was ok for one night but more than that and it would have been rough.
