Mulberry Cottage

Very unclear instructions to collect the key. Very poor signage to identify property.

Location, lots of hot water, kitchen with enough utensils, enough towels for us all. Provided fans on request due to the hot weather.

Tiny double bed, tiny bedrooms especially 2nd floor, it was obvious one room has been chopped into 2, while that has made it a 3 bedroom cottage, but in reality that made the situation worse from comfort point of view. Stairs were quite a challenge, tripped and slipped few times over the tiny and extremely narrow space. Staff was helpful but very obvious it was a job for them, couldn’t arrange early check in, couldn’t wait for us to get out, knocking on the door at 10am, couldn’t just let the parking facility extend for hour or so after checkout. Nevermind, it was for few days only. Overall enjoyable stay with regard to the island but accommodation was average.

Locality very good. Parking off road, 3 motorcycles (on the pathway in the garden)Well equipped house. Lovely patio. Local bus service excellent.

Stairs were steep but managed ok. No wardrobe in attic room.

Brilliant location and overall feel of the property was superb. Thoughtful touches throughout made it a special stay and an ideal base from which to enjoy the Isle of Wight.

There really should be an easily visible notice about the tight, narrow, and twisty stairs (seems this is only addressed in other reviews which is a shame, given the attention to detail elsewhere). These stairs would be potentially ruinous for a holiday for anyone with even minor mobility challenges, and suitcases of medium size or above are a two-person job to get them to the bedrooms.

Beautiful cottage set back off the road. Perfectly located just a 5 minute walk from the Red Jet ferry terminal. Quiet, well appointed, comfortable and the perfect retreat after a day at the IOW Festival!

Main bed was a little small for me…but that’s my own fault as I’m 6’3”!! Otherwise there’s nothing not to like about this place.

Warning that the stairs are very steep

A very attractive, comfortable cottage in a superb location. Wonderfully quiet situation within a beautiful garden, with lovely views from the bedrooms and a delightful patio terrace to sit for al fresco meals.
