ITC Maurya, a Luxury Collection Hotel, New Delhi

My worst experience is just based on the behaviour of 1 staff named CHANDAN from the Executive Lounge on 16th Floor. I have been to ITC Maurya before as well and also dined separately in all of their restaurants shooting myself eating with a mobile camera only, as once I was told by one of their staff not to use professional camera and mobile camera is totally fine, which is understandable and many properties across the globe do. I was shooting myself (nobody else in the frame) eating in the executive lounge when this guy CHANDAN comes over and says “You cannot shoot here”. I told him I’m shooting myself with a mobile and he says “Aapke sath humara lounge bhi to aa raha piche”. As if the lounge was a military base and any footage showing it would be a national threat. I then told him “Kaha likha hai dikhao phir nahi karta hu” to which he says “Likha hai Abhi dikhata hu” and started calling someone. I told him to call the manager to which he says “Main hi manager hu, sab main hi dekhta hu.” And you know what just before this there was a Japanese woman with her husband shooting the lounge with a professional camera to which he uttered nothing. You can check the lounge footage for that day. So I just want to tell the General Manager if you don’t want anyone shooting anywhere write it down in your guest policy so we can be aware where not to go. And if your staff discriminates by pin-pointing and targeting individuals based on nationality, colour or race then jot that down as well somewhere that “we discriminate on basis of race”. [Also attached is the pic of the frame I was shooting in, if that’s not allowed in your lounge WRITE IT DOWN IN BOLD IN YOUR POLICY OR RIGHT OUTSIDE THE LOUNGE GATE.]

Its in the centre of delhi...Good location.. hospitality...pool was well maintained and Vipin was very courteous..buffet spread was lavish and tasty...I had come to stay for a night with my daughter..it was an amazing experience...

Booked 2 Itc one rooms - first room was finally given at 4.00 for check in - the second room and hour late . The staff at the check in was very indifferent & wishy washy

Really excellent stay stay will come agn and will recommend miss oindrella helped us a lot during experience thank you
