Great Service, very cute and clean. Excellent location, a few steps from the main square. Breakfast was delicious, a few different options and you can take in the inner courtyard, which was very pretty and cozy. Very quiet.

We got a nicer room as suggested by booking but the room turned out to have the bathroom without a wall all the way up to the ceiling and no door, kind of an open concept bathroom. Apparently it’s “Italian style”. We ended up staying in a lesser room but still paid for the nicer one. The beds were a bit too firm but we slept well.

The hotel’s location was convenient due to its proximity to the main attractions.

It’s a really nice place, but it’s important to be aware of the noise from the service staff. In some rooms, you can hear everything from outside, which makes it difficult to get some rest.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were basically but comfortable. The shower was amazing. Breakfast at the hotel was really good as well. It is simple but tasty. The fresh fruits and coffee were the highlight for us. The most amazing thing was the staff. It was as if we were the only ones at the hotel. Any request we had was answered quickly and with a level of service that I have not seen in Colombia.

The rooms are basic, which was expected. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room. The upstairs walls are thin, so we could here music from outside the hotel at night. It wasn't too loud but as a lite sleeper it was annoying.

This hotel truly lives up to the Colombian saying "everything that it's fine." From their proactive pre-arrival communication with recommendations for activities, restaurants, and dessert spots, to their genuinely warm welcome, they create a sense of anticipation. Housed in a former family residence, the hotel exudes a special charm with its cozy and tasteful décor. It offers an authentic Villa de Leyva experience within a boutique setting, seamlessly blending local traditions with comfortable accommodations. Its prime location, just a two-minute walk from the main square, provides easy access to everything the town has to offer. The hotel also boasts fantastic breakfast and the convenience of private parking upon request. Without a doubt, I would choose to stay here again.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my hotel stay, a point of improvement for this and other Colombian hotels concerns the process for tax exemption for Colombian residents living abroad. Since I have biometric entry, my passport lacked an entry stamp. Despite providing airplane tickets and other documents confirming my non-residency in Colombia, the hotel insisted an email from Migración Colombia was mandatory (which I never received in the past when I entered the country) and ultimately charged me local taxes. Hotels should explore alternative methods for verifying non-residency in such situations.
