Location, comfort, lift in the property, good wifi connection

We loved this apartment. There is an elevator for reaching all floors but as we were classed as the penthouse it was useful especially after a long day up and down steps in Lisbon. But they are doable if you prefer, which we often did. Although in Biaxa, the street was quiet and being high up we didn’t hear any noise. I much preferred to be high in the building as this apartment had two windows overlooking the fabulous view towards the castle and it was light and airy. The bedroom has a roof light, it has a daytime blind and a blackout for night time. There was plenty of daylight coming in. The decor is retro, some say old fashioned but we enjoyed all the detailing and all the extra touches this had. Proper towel rails for all towels which were super quality. Hooks on the bathroom door. Heated towel rail. Bidet. Dressing table and chair, lots of sockets. Big wardrobe, big enough to store two cases lying flat so we could live out of them without completely unpacking but also hang things that we wanted. Drawers too. The large easy chair and footstool, comfy sofa, well equipped kitchen, tea, coffee, a bottle of water. We didn’t cook but it would be fine to do in this apartment using hob or microwave. The location is also 10/10, a short walk takes you to many restaurants, to Rossio station, to a lovely square. There are easy routes to all the main areas, Chiado, Barrio Alto, downtown areas. A little further on foot you reach the shops and Commercial square and on to Alfama. All are walkable if you have a reasonable level of fitness but public transport is good. We used a Navante card and topped it up for metro or trains. We highly recommend this apartment to couples, we obviously didn’t use the sofa bed, so can’t comment on that. Our favourite restaurant was a walk away towards Alfama Biaxamar lovely fish dishes plus other choices. But also ate at Duque’s and Ferdinandoh’s in the street which are smaller and more rustic.

Great location for exploring Lisbon. Lovely view from the 2nd floor apartment. Close to the train station for a trip to Sintra. Spoilt for choice with loads of lovely restaurants close by.

Great central location but on quiet street so not noisy at night. Host very responsive. Super place- happy to return.

Cannot stand outside on balcony as quite small.

Great location, quirky interior.

The location was perfect. I felt like I was in a lovely cottage in the middle of the city. We had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. A washing machine would have been great, but we can wash clothes at the next place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice, spaceous, quiet apartment with comfortable bed (firm). Great location near many sights, restaurants, main shopping area and bars. Easy check in, and elevator.

The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of activities we had planned. Apartment was comfortable, and the personal touches (extra blankets, coffee, towels) were appreciated. The elevator was most helpful.

We have no complaints!
