Holiday Inn Norwich by IHG

The staff was extraordinary! I talked to them before we arrived about our reservation. They were very helpful and took an interest in every aspect of our stay while there. Totally unexpected and much appreciated.

They said they’re going to refund some of my money but I have to contact you so you can put it back on my credit card. They said they called you guys and I should be all set. So you can credit my credit card back due to the bathroom toilet was not working. We had to use the main lobby which we were on the third floor had to go down to the first floor in the middle of the night.

The room was clean. Breakfast was good. However, when we booked the room it said it was included. I asked about breakfast at check in and the girl basically ignored me. It wasn't until later on, after the front desk changed shifts that I again informed them when I booked the room it said breakfast was included. The gentleman who took over for the girl gave us a card and advised that we should have received it upon check in.

We paid extra for a balcony room, which was located right over the restaurant so it smelled like food so we couldn't use it. The website showed an outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which was nonexistent. Only one elevator worked for the entire hotel. The pool area had a chlorine and vinegar smell to it. The water was cloudy, so we did not use it. There was also a board covering one of the windows on the second floor of the building.
