The room was updated, nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any request.

The hotel is in the middle of a remodel. Hallways dusty and dirty. Price should have reflected that. The A/C unit in the room was very loud when it turned on, woke us up several times throughout the night.

They have clearly invested in making this property more modern. You can feel it in the rooms with frosted glass shower doors vs curtains and a lounge couch in the corner vs that traditional creepy chair. The Mon-Sat breakfast menu is insane - no reason to go off premise which is rare for me - for example- they make their own hot sauce on prem - and its awesome. (Sunday is the same old buffet scrambled eggs and scary sausage patties) but IM sure the cook needs his/her day off. My only complaint is paper thin walls and ceilings. Baby woke us up in the morning so we moved rooms - couple came home at 1am and we could here every word. Lucky they were tired and went straight to sleep!! It wasnt a deal breaker but could have been bad given who your neighbour is.

"Great stay just close enough to campus for easy travel, but far enough to avoid traffic."

The location was close to Lansing and close to the highway. It was easy to get anywhere I needed to go. The rooms were nice, well-maintained, and quiet. The cookies were a nice bonus when checking in, who doesn't love a little treat.

The hotel is being upgraded, so knowing that, there were a few cleanliness issues. There was a squeegee left in my hall the entire stay. It wasn't a big deal, but also an overlooked thing that is easy to fix.
