Hyatt Regency Austin

The Hyatt did a great job with their extensive remodeling. Lovely lobby, restaurant and bar area. The pool is also much nicer, although it’s small. Great vibe!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Austin while attending the ALCA conference, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the service was truly impeccable. The staff consistently demonstrated a perfect balance of professionalism and genuine kindness—always prompt, attentive, and ready to assist without hesitation. My room was nothing short of spectacular. The view overlooking the Congress Avenue Bridge and the Austin skyline was absolutely stunning, especially in the evening. It added a special touch to an already exceptional stay. The room itself was spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bed provided a great night’s sleep, and I appreciated the thoughtful details—plenty of fresh towels, a fully functioning refrigerator, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after long conference days. Overall, this was an outstanding stay. Whether traveling for business or leisure, I would highly recommend this property. I’ll absolutely be returning on my next visit to Austin.

The hotel is beautiful and nicely located. The cost of the drinks is quite high, the breakfast buffet lacked flavor, but the restaurant was very good. The price of the parking for hotel guest is excessive, especially for Hyatt members. 54.00 a night!! Park elsewhere!

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The views of the downtown skyline were absolutely amazing, especially from the room and common areas. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the food and amenities were excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay that I’d definitely recommend.

The staff in the grocery market were very kind.

It’s lackluster. It lacks elegance and sophistication that is associated with the hotels name. The staff was disinterested. The room was basic and it was the same as my stay at the Courtyard Marriott. The HR was $520. The CM was $100. I’d never recommend the Hyatt Regency.

I spent 4 days at the hotel. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Hotel layout was very confusing. Somewhat isolated from major action of downtown.

I’m currently staying here and already wish I had booked somewhere else. The pricing is honestly kind of ridiculous. Valet is $70 and self-parking is still over $60, which would be one thing if the experience felt worth it, but it doesn’t. They make you drive all the way up to the top levels of the garage while the first two floors are reserved for valet. You literally pass rows and rows of empty spaces on the way up—it feels like driving through a ghost town just to park. The “updated” rooms are underwhelming. A shower curtain in a renovated bathroom feels cheap and outdated. The room also smells strongly of cleaning chemicals, which makes it hard to actually relax. As a World of Hyatt member, I got absolutely nothing—no recognition, no perks, nothing—which just adds to how impersonal the whole place feels. The hotel itself has a weird, echo-y, almost empty vibe. It feels more like walking through a mall or convention space than a hotel you’d actually want to stay in. There’s just no warmth to it. I’m still here and already considering leaving, which says everything. For what they’re charging, I expect better service and a much nicer overall experience. I won’t be staying at Hyatt properties going forward—there are plenty of better options that actually feel worth the price.
