Proximity to Harvard Square. Security features. Timely room cleaning. The fact that my room was ready before check in time. Outdoor terrace space.

I had food delivered to my room and overnight there were hundreds of ants that found the leftovers infesting my room. The room safe did not work. Lack of 24 hour food delivery from restaurant.

We stayed here for my college class reunion. Since this hotel is not super close to any of the campuses (1 mile from MIT and 1.5-2 miles from Harvard), the pricing tends to be better than for hotels that are right in either Kendall or Harvard Square. As for the room - the bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning (central) worked well. The bathroom was huge and spotless. The shower was hot with nice water pressure. We loved our city views even though we only had a side view of the river. The room was very quiet even though the hotel was quite busy when we were there. The only thing that was a little weird was the closet - it was short to begin with (not tall enough to hold my dresses from touching the floor), and then there was a safe that fell right underneath the hanging clothes and blocked them. Very odd design. The service here was super friendly, helpful, and effective. The hotel has a shuttle that connects you to the T stops and area stores; however, it is in high demand so the only time we were able to take it was the first trip at 7 a.m. when we needed a dropoff at he T to head to the airport.

Overall, I had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I especially appreciated their willingness to accommodate my request to change rooms after my initial room turned out to be quite noisy due to its location on a lower floor facing the street. They handled the request promptly, and the new room made my stay much more enjoyable. The only issue I encountered was the mandatory destination fee. I had already prepaid my reservation through Expedia, so I was surprised to see an additional destination fee appear on my final bill. Unfortunately, this fee was not explained to me at check-in, and no one informed me about any associated benefits, such as dining credits, discounts, or other included amenities. I only became aware of the charge on my last day when I received the bill. Greater transparency regarding this fee and its benefits would have been appreciated.

Mamello was wonderful—I needed to print something and it took a little while so I went upstairs, and she unexpectedly brought it up to my room for me. Truly above and beyond. The room was wonderful, spacious, beautiful, and so clean. The view was so gorgeous. I loved the lobby atmosphere with special events as I returned home. It was a central location, easy access to Boston university.
