Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill

Great location. Near Union Station and Capitol Hill. Nice upgrade on the new decor. Updated amenities in the room, bathroom and the gym.

The hotel felt new as it was renovated. Noted there are usb outlets for the dining room booths. The standard suite was roomy but the closet was the smallest we had ever experienced at a Hyatt. One of the best hotel gym/pool. Breakfast was consistently good quality. Overall service was excellent. But I did have to get the front desk to take off some charges that should not be there. 12 min walk to museums on the Mall.

We had a very good experience at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for visiting the main attractions in Washington, DC, especially if you want to be near the Capitol and other important landmarks.

Honestly, I didn’t have any problems during my stay. Everything went well for us.

This hotel was fantastic, especially for the price. The room was spacious, nice bathroom. Everything was clean. Free coffee, a mini fridge, and microwave right down the hall with the ice. Felt very safe and the location was perfect. We were even able to check in early, and they held our bags after checkout while we crammed in a few more sights. Would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent stay. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill for business or pleasure. Wonderful current overhaul of the property from head to toe.

The Hyatt is in an excellent location, the staff were fantastic, everything was clean and comfortable everywhere in the hotel!

I have been coming here for about 11 years and the place was showing age, but the remodel did a great job redoing the lobby and rooms overall. There are some nit picks, like why they built structures that block you from seeing the giant TVs that they still have running above the lobby. The rooms are more comfortable and usable but the design is still a bit odd in certain ways. All swinging doors are gone other than the main room door. Now there are sliding barn doors for the bathroom and a fresh new shower (but I think all the tubs are gone now). There are no closets, but instead an open hanging frame area that is metal and wood and the old dresser the TV was on is gone. In a sense, it helps open things up, but you really lost a lot of drawer space for clothes that don't hang. There is a far more functional full wall shelf/desk and now you get a sleeper sofa couch, which really is a great addition for family members coming along. I had a quiet room, but I also did not face the main street where the fire station is located, so that always helps. Meeting areas were not really changed all that much, but still fit us well. My review is more from viewing the place as if I was here the first time rather than trying to reminisce about what "used to be". It is still mainly a business hotel, but it is in a great location for running off to the monuments, Smithsonian, restaurants, stores, etc.
