Villa Jwi Lavi Boutique Hotel

My wife and I recently stayed at Villa Jwi Lavi Boutique Hotel in Saint Martin for a weekend getaway (March 29-31, 2025), and it was a delightful experience! This charming boutique hotel is tucked away in a peaceful spot in Cul-de-Sac, just a short drive from Grandes Cayes Beach, Orient Bay and Anse Marcel. The location is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet escape with easy access to some of the island’s best spots on the French side—though you’ll definitely need a car to get around. The room was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, with all the essentials: comfy bed, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom stocked with free toiletries. I loved the little touches like the electric kettle and the seating area—perfect for unwinding after a day out. Our rooms had a lovely balcony with sea views. The shared lounge and terrace were highlights for me. The pool area is small but inviting, and it was great to relax there with a view of Pinel Island in the distance. Breakfast was a simple continental affair—freshly baked croissants, juice, and coffee—but it hit the spot each morning. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering tips on nearby hikes and beaches, which made the stay feel personal and welcoming. Free Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, and the free private parking was a big plus. It’s not a luxury resort by any means, but for a boutique stay with a cozy, homey vibe, it’s hard to beat. I’d happily return for the tranquility and great value—highly recommend for couples or anyone wanting a laid-back Saint Martin base

My only minor gripe was that the breakfast options could’ve been a bit more varied, but that’s a small thing in the grand scheme.

Lovely host. Fantastic communication. Incredibly accommodating, without having to ask. Offered us an early check-in and a late check out, as we were between houses and somewhat homeless. Great breakfast. Nice common areas. Incredibly safe. Bonus of a really comfortable bed, which is rare. This is a great place to stay a couple days. Unfortunately we were only here overnight, so we never got to enjoy all the amenities.

My wife and I loved this place. It was smaller and quieter than your typical hotel or resort. The hosts provide a nice little breakfast each morning (croissants and baguettes with local jams, plus fresh fruit and juice). The pool is nice, as are the views. The property is a good location on the island, in my opinion. Easy drive to Anse Marcel on the northern tip (phenomenal beach up there). Also easy drive to Grand Case (best food ever) and Orient Beach (great scene in general). The hosts were nice and had helpful advice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The owners were available, communicative, and wonderful to work with. They were helpful and provided great insight into the island and provided good recommendations. Me and my fiancee got engaged while we were staying there and they got us two beautiful mugs to take with us home. We'll forever have them. The hotel room was clean, spacious and the balcony was a nice addition. There are only 5 rooms in the hotel so it is very boutique. Because of this the morning breakfast felt inclusive and a sense of community came from it as we saw the same faces almost every morning. The other guests almost felt like our neighbors. 10/10 would recommend. This is a great find and we are thrilled we started our trip here building a sense of calm, community, and wonder for our entire duration.

There was an issue with our booking where the card we used got declined for a 'fraud alert' by booking.com. Because of this, someone swooped in on the last day we had initially booked despite it taking us just several hours to respond to the booking.com fraud alert. We had to adjust our stay at this hotel for one less day.

We had a great time. We picked this hotel based on all the positive reviews we had read and everything lived up to the hotel’s well earned reputation. We highly recommend it.

This place is very special, like home away from home. Close proximity to all kind of stores and beaches.

Cyril and Marie are outstanding hosts. When I made a special request for breakfast, wished assistance obtaining American TV channels, needed alcohol and duct tape to remove cactus thorns, or asked for recommendations regarding a gym and local restaurants, they were quickly at my service. Moreover, the breakfasts are excellent (esp. w/ the addition of my requested protein bowl), the rooms are spacious (both the sleeping area and bathroom/shower), the area is very safe, there is ample parking (a rarity in much of St. Martin), and the Villa is within easy driving distance of optimal outdoor hiking and beach activities in French St. Martin. I highly recommend Villa Jwi Lavi.

Very new and clean property with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Close to beaches and hiking trails. The breakfast croissants are out of this world. Only drawback is that you have drive out for dinner. Other than that Everything is perfect. Many thanks to Mary and Cyril. You make us fell like home at your villa. Will definitely visit again.
