Hyatt Regency - Greenville

Terrible. We were given a key to someone else’s room then treated badly by staff. Room was dirty and very worn down! Very disappointing

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Greenville for a dance convention/competition. The location is excellent—right in downtown Greenville with plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was great. However, the overall service fell short of expectations. The front desk staff did not seem well trained. We had an issue with our room keys not working on the first day and had to wait quite a while for maintenance to come and fix the door. The on-site restaurant, Roost, was also disappointing. Service was slow, and the food was just average. One morning, my husband was seated and never greeted or attended to. For a Hyatt Regency property, we expected a much higher level of service.

I had a bad reaction to some medicine, the staff was very accommodating.

The bed could have been more comfortable.

The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff! Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean! I enjoyed my stay and will return.

The meal at Roost was outstanding and so was the setting and service. A wonderful dining

I paid for a king room and only got a queen bed. I told the front desk about it upon departure and they promised to follow up with me but did not.

The hotel was fine but dog in room beside us barked all night and woke us up again at 6:00am. When we told staff they responded with I’m sorry there is nothing we can do! They didn’t even comp breakfast or help in anyway! Very disappointed!

As stated above- the staff and allowing dogs to bark all night!

The location was perfect and for the majority of my stay, the hotel was perfect. The room, however, smelled like musty cigarettes. As if someone had smoked and it was covered with an aerosol spray. The room was advertised as non-smoking. I suffer from migraines when I'm around cigarettes. This was not fresh cigarette smell, but a smell as if it had been smoked in previously for years. The room and hotel were clean, it was just the smell in the hotel room that was an issue.

This is a beautiful hotel located in downtown Greenville SC. The staff in it's entirety renders exceptional service from the front desk to the restaurant, to the coffee shop! Several shops and attractions to see in walking distance. Hyatt Regency is the perfect home away from home!
