The view From our window was awesome. The location was excellent. Beds so comfortable. Pool was great. Clean room.

Why I would recommend this hotel: Excellent views and beautifully renovated room Location & views: The standout feature of this hotel is its unbeatable location on the Danube. The views from the room were simply spectacular, with several of Budapest's iconic landmarks visible right from the window. Check-in: I arrived around 3 PM and experienced a fairly long wait at reception. Elite members can also check in at the lounge, which may be a better option. Staff were very friendly and explained the hotel's amenities well, although my elite benefits were not mentioned. Room: The room was beautifully renovated with a contemporary design. The bed was extremely comfortable and the window bench was the perfect place to enjoy the river views and sunset. Housekeeping was excellent and the hotel was generous with towels, bottled water and coffee. The bathroom was both stylish and very functional. Hotel facilities: While the rooms have been renovated, the lobby, hallways and spa are showing their age. Renovations appear to be underway and once completed, this hotel could truly shine again. Restaurant: The outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot for dinner during the warmer months. Service was very friendly and efficient, portions were generous and most dishes were excellent. One fish dish was overcooked but the staff took the feedback seriously and handled it professionally. Overall: A great choice for anyone looking for stunning Danube views, a prime location and is lucky to get a comfortable renovated room. The ongoing renovations should make this property even better in the future.

Location, location, location! The InterContinental Budapest has, in my opinion, the best location in the city. Situated directly on the banks of the Danube River next to the iconic Chain Bridge, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the Buda side of Budapest, including Buda Castle and Matthias Church. If you stay here, be sure to book a river-view room. It completely transforms the experience and is worth every penny. Waking up to that spectacular panorama is unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully renovated, spotless, and very well maintained. The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel. The hotel also features an exceptional Mediterranean restaurant serving outstanding Middle Eastern and Lebanese cuisine. We enjoyed every meal there. The bar is another highlight, offering comfortable indoor and outdoor seating where you can relax with a drink while taking in the magnificent views of the Danube and the illuminated castle. Most importantly, the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to ensure our stay was perfect, always asking if we needed anything and making us feel welcome. If you’re visiting Budapest, I can’t recommend the InterContinental Budapest highly enough. Between its unbeatable location, stunning views, excellent dining, and exceptional service, it’s a hotel I would gladly return to.
