Hampton Inn Brooksville Dade City

Stayed 1 night after meeting family for dinner. Went on to Orlando for our vacation. It was very clean, updated and breakfast was pretty good.

Close to family

Good for a few days but not for a week stay. Lots of folks staying there with FEMA long term so there are dogs barking at all hours and people smoking outside the first-floor doors. They are often out of things like tea bags and cups. They turn off the juice machine so you can't fill your water bottle when breakfast time is over. One morning, there was a random guy who wasn't staying at the hotel sleeping in the breakfast area.

All the staff was nice and housekeeping every day

Stay was fine. The breakfast needs better eggs, bacon and overall choices.

The location near I-75 was good.

None of the USB charging ports in the room worked. Hotel is old and needs some upgrades.

Reeks like smoke. It’s 2024 and not only do they still have smoking rooms, they are on the same floor as non-smoking rooms. The smell fills the hallways and seeps under your doors. Otherwise this is a pretty run-of-the-mill mediocre Hampton Inn. A bit dated, unimpressive breakfast, and no pool. It benefits greatly by being one of the few options in the area.

Unless you have no place else to stay, I would skip this hotel. I'm surprised that it carries the Hampton brand as the place was in bad need of refurbishment and a thorough cleaning.

T V needed more of a variety of channels.

The little breakfast buffet was surprisingly good.
