Old Taverna Sorrentina

Always a perfect stay here! Perfect location, walking distance to absolutely everything. They keep it very clean and tidy very safe and beautiful rooms.

Fantastic location on narrow pedestrian street. Easily walk to most of central Sorrento. Comfortable old building. Good bed. We liked PortoMarina Restaurant at Marina Grande, a moderate walk away.

Be sure to follow booking directions to not go to old taverna Sorrentino Restaurant rather than Old Taverna Sorrentino Hotel. And restaurant. If driving park at Ulysses and walk from there. They no longer offer free breakfast. We’d probably rate it 9.2 overall.

Great location. Traditional Italian decor. The bed was super comfy and I liked the embroidered sheets. Host is very friendly and helpful.

No handle on bathroom door so doesn’t close. Toilet seat too small for the pan.

Closed to all amenities. Clean and spacious accommodation. Maria is very helpful and pleasant. We had an excellent stay in Sorrento. Definitely coming back

What a beautiful and fun place in the heart of Sorrento. The bed was comfy. Our host was super sweet and informative. You step outside to literally the thrum of the city center of shops and food and activity. So delightful.

Be aware: The bathroom has a small, corner shower which was fine for us but could be challenging for larger people. The toilet seat did not match the toilet bowl in size (I hope they update this).

This was a wonderful stay with my family! Location was amazing, close to everything - shops, restaurants, and the port where all the ferries and beaches are. Street is not drivable (pedestrians only) so be prepared to walk all your luggage from the drop off point, about 5-10 minutes in our case, on cobblestone. Staff was wonderful. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our time at Old Taverna. The room was above the restaurant in the heart of shopping & restaurants. Being our first visit to Sorrento, it was perfect being in the heart of all the action. The room was lovely with old world charm, which added to the experience. The area was busy but not noisy. It is in the middle of the 'no driving' area so there is no traffic noise. The lift to the beach & ferries is a 10-15 minute walk. We easily walked to meet up points for our scheduled tours. I have nothing negative to stay except I wish we could have stayed longer!

Our host was fantastic; very helpful, very friendly, and part of the family that owns the restaurant downstairs so you always get a big hello. The room was large and comfy.

It was a bit difficult to find - and if you're walking from the train/bus station, don't follow the map that takes you along the tiny narrow laneways. Go along the Main Street and drop down, otherwise you'll face the wrath of the crowds of tourists wandering the shops and laneways.

We enjoyed our time here very much.
