Washington Marriott Georgetown

Room and Parking were too expensive.

While the hotel is OK..just OK…Marriott’s policy of charging a “Destination Fee” is simply outrageous. On top of the $30 PER DAY “Destination Fee” the District of Columbia charges and additional $4 in tax for the “Destination Fee”. The “freebies” allegedly included in the Fee are a joke. I had no interest in eating in the hotel as there are wonderful options steps away so the “credit” did not interest me. Even worse is the $10 “Uber Discount”…I went to use it at 8:30 on the morning I checked out only to find out that it had expired at 12:01 AM the same day. Come on Marriott stop this nonsense. Put it in the rates if you feel you must but the value proposition is simply not there. I remember staying at the original Key Bridge Marriott (now a hulking mess of a relic) and it was “special” including the Hot Shoppes. This is mass production now at the lowest common denominator. The corridors are claustrophobic, low ceilinged and dark. On check in the front desk computers were down. All in all a totally uninspiring stay. I surely won’t be back.

Location sucked- did not sleep at all. Sirens- ambulance traffic noise all night, both nights

Food was lousy the menu didn’t have much to pick from
