Ranch Jelov Klanac

We loved our apartment on the 1st floor so we had a balcony overlooking the field where we saw horses, deer and birds. The ranch is peaceful and quiet except for the birdsong which was beautiful in the mornings. The kitchen has plenty of equipment so we could make meals during our stay. There is a mini supermarket and great bakery 5 minutes drive away. The hosts were really friendly, helpful and communication was quick if we had any questions. They had lit for fire for us on arrival as it had been raining and it made the whole place so warm and cosy. It is a very large space and felt very grand. It is very close to the Plitvice Lakes Park, Rastoke village, Speleon museum and caves, many horseriding ranches so there is plenty to do and see and excellent walks in the area.

The location was superb, the scenery outstanding and Blanka, the host was wonderful. We got adopted by Lu, the resident dog who was the cherry on the cake. I can’t recommend this place enough. We stayed in a top floor apartment which was amazing. Lots of space, spotlessly clean, yet very cosy. We didn’t want to leave.

De bovenste blokhut is een paradijselijke plek. Mijn Merlin vogel app registreerde 10 soorten. De merels hebben de meeste arias. Ook de flora is prachtig, vond 2 soorten orchissen vlakbij het huis. Bosaardbeien in volle bloei. Het huis is ook omringd door fruitbomen. Ook de hond had het zeer naar haar zin. Je kunt heerlijk buiten zitten op het overdekte terras en in de tuin. Er is ook een mooie buiten bbq. Huis heerlijk warm met houtkachel die brandde bij aankomst. Er is vlakbij een supermarktje en een prima bakker, waar je ook pizzas etc. Kunt kopen. Er is ook, een leuke kleine kaasmakerij met heerlijke free range koeienkaas. Ik hoorde dat meeste mensen maar 1 of 2 nachten hier blijven... Jammer, want als je langer gaat, dan kun je de Plitvice meren op 2 ochtenden bezoeken, heel vroeg startten. Wij waren er om 08.15, liepen Route H (lange route, merendeels berg af) en bij het 2e gedeelte rond 11.00, grote waterval, was het al hinderlijk druk. Ook bij t huis zelf heerlijk wandelen. Dreznik grad en Rastoke zijn een bezoek waard. Er zijn ook paardrij mogelijkheden.

Als er gasten boven zijn, hoor je stappen... tja t is een houten blokhut en ondanks alle isolatie is dat niet te voorkomen. Gèèn stemgeluid, ook niet van beneden buren. Gelukkig had host ons gewaarschuwd om flessen water mee te nemen.

Loved the convenience of a hotel even in the middle of the nature. It had fast wifi, good parking, easy access, heating, kitchen, very spacious and clean apartment. And the views are nothing like i have seen before. Sounds of birds and and horses.

The duvets were in a box which I only discovered when we were checking out. Had to use the AC unnecessarily. Also the location of AC was away from room so was not very effective. But no issues as host was kind enough to quick reply on every information.

Hôte très accueillante (le chien aussi), très gentille. Superbe emplacement au calme et verdoyant. Le chalet est agréable on s'y sent bien.

Sve nam se jako svidjelo od samoga smjestaja do jako uljudne djelatnice i nadasve mira i lipote...posebno nam se svidija pas koji nas je doceka i jako je gostoljubiv i drag pravi pas cuvar...cuvao nas je od samoga dolaska do odlaska

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Das Häuschen ist sehr süß. Mit Hund toll. 😊

Viele Käfer im Apartment. Die Wände sind sehr dünn, mann darf kein Problem mit Lärm haben. Haben draußen jeden reden gehört und auch die Nachbarn vom Apartment nebenan haben wir durch die Wände reden gehört. Das Bad ist sehr kalt.
