My sons stayed here overnight to break up along road trip. Their only complaints were that the beds were rock hard and the pillows too thin to be useful. Because they couldn't sleep comfortably, they left before dawn and arrived home early, so I was okay with that. We won't, however book here again on our trips between Houston and Arizona.
The woman at the front desk was uninformative with any info on the hotel or the surrounding area, like were to eat.also was ch a rged a extra $10 for my dog.room was ok, but no way to know channels on tv or restaurants in area. No phone book. Wifi did not work and room was over priced.
We were very disappointed in this hotel. Had a very difficult time getting the door open. The whole complex needs a good cleaning and paint job. The final blow was to find out we paid $77 + tax through Hotel.Com., and the rate at the hotel was $69 + tax. We had a hard time sleeping, so left early ( 5 AM) and the office was locked, and had to ring a doorbell, which was finally answered.
Reserved a king non-smoking room but was given a room without a non-smoking sign on door (small portable one inside room) and room had a lingering smoke smell. I have asthma. If it weren't for the fact that my husband was sick & didn't want to switch, I would have demanded a different room. Man at front desk was nice. Bed was comfortable. Highway noise drowned out by A/C fan. On busy street with other hotels. Worked for us as we only needed a clean place for one night.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well kept. Only complaint was that our reservation was for four persons but only two bath towels and wash cloths were provided in the room. Had to go to front desk to request additional.
This seems to be an older hotel but they try to keep up the maintenance. Room was nice but the pool was closed. Not sure why.
Breakfast was not much to speak about. A little pricey for basic hotel. Was traveling and needed a bed. It was clean and AC worked good
Stoped there on Friday night, on my way to Arizona. Room was clean & quiet, breakfast was ok.
I was very pleased with the room at this hotel. For one just wanting to get off the road and enjoy a good nights sleep in Van Horn at a reasonable rate, this hotel is perfect. Nothing to complain about at all. Very clean and comfortable room.
