Loved the location and it was so designed that you felt you were the only ones there. The hostess Vicki and her family were so helpful and pleasant. The cottage had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Distance to attractions in Collie and other towns in the area was a great asset too.

The brick hearth around the fireplace was a little bit annoying (but I understand the necessity for it in case of sparks or embers falling from the contained fireplace). There was special warning tape but I didn't see it when I kicked my toe. 🥲 Other than that everything was excellent 👌!!

We had a good stay at Glen Mervyn Lodge over Friday and Saturday night. The cottage itself was comfortable and peaceful, perfect for a quiet getaway. However, just a heads-up, the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the cottage, and there’s only about one bar of phone service, so it’s basically off-grid. Also, firewood isn’t supplied, which was a bit tricky on a cold night as we had to go out and buy our own. Overall, still a nice stay, just worth knowing those small details beforehand.

Fabulous location with clear access instructions. This is a lovely studio cottage which suited us and our service dog perfectly. Nestled in the hills but within easy reach of a larger town with all the facilities. So perfectly clean with everything provided for a very comfortable stay. We especially loved the use of the fireplace on the last evening of our stay.

Location was rural, stunning views over fields, chickens in coop and farm animals.

Lovely aspect from the property, and plenty of bird life to enjoy. Nice and spacious house, with cosy wood fire during winter (which had been kindly started for us by Vicki prior to arrival). Well looked after wrap-around verandah area, meant it was bug-free and comfortable to enjoy. The kids enjoyed the outdoor play area. Separate zones within the house were good (and ideal for bigger groups). Supplies provided were handy.

Some of the beds and pillows were not particularly comfortable (but may be a matter of personal preference), and the main bathroom/toilet could do with a refresh. Would love there to have been a dishwasher, to save on washing up.
