Bernardes house is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday. The family gave us lots of good tips for days out and great local restaurants. The house is beautiful and really comfortable.

"Brilliant location, great house, great guests"

Great hosts - very responsive and helpful

Local rubbish bins are very close to the house - they overflowed and flies became a nuisance in the house - the hosts did everything they could to have problem fixed but it took a day or two for the local authorities to empty the bins.

"Relaxation bliss on the Douro"

location, with wonderful view over the Douro Vally was spectacular. Generally pretty quiet, a few neighbour’s didn’t look after their dogs. The owner and staff were exceedingly helpful. the large garden was a treat

Barking dogs on a few occasions, but nothing to do with the owner or the property
