"Good value for the money !"

Good value for the money and very convenient location. We stayed in Holiday Inn in the past so I wasn't sure if we will be happy with the rooms etc. The hotel was our stop on the way to Edinburgh as our family flew to Newcastle that afternoon. We were very glad and happy with the rooms and the free parking. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. Definitely can recommend this place! I am sure we will be coming back if we'll travel up north again.

The air con was bit hard to switch on and off.

"A Comforting Stay in a lovely hotel."

Apart from pleasant rooms, comfortable beds, super breakfast and attractive lounge and bar spaces the one thing that makes this hotel stand out above any other is the warmth, kindness and generosity of the staff. All staff members were second to none and it is unfair to single any one member of this lovely team out but I feel I must make mention of the lovely Mel. Unfortunately, my husband was taken ill and we had to make an emergency dash to Cramlington hospital nearby and Mel was extremely comforting when I was feeling at a very low ebb. Staff bent over backwards to help us in our hour of need and left us with the warmest of impressions of the people of the North East. X

"It was fine as expected"

Breakfast fine. Staff absolutely lovely. Couldn’t have been nicer. Geordie friendliness in spades

It was quiet until Friday evening when we were disturbed by other guests coming back in the small hours and waking us up over a 2 hour period. Not good.

Comfortable bed & large room. Good sound insulation between rooms. Staff friendly & helpful. Decent hairdryer.

Only scrambled eggs offered at breakfast - no fried or poached available. No bottled water or biscuits in room & no Freeview channels on TV + signal kept dropping out. Also low water pressure in shower.

"Great value stay"

Lady at check-in was very good and gave us all the necessary information we needed, plus we were on a quick turnaround and she booked a taxi, which was on time. Very helpful.

Nothing. We were there for 15 hours and could not find any faults.
