Great location down town a bit noisy

Although the hotel was clean and the condition was good it had two main flaws. The windows were not sound proof and there was heavy traffic noise from our room on the 11 floor. The hotel was also on a hill from both accessible sides, not great for walking. Can not believe the road traffic noise from a city centre hotel.

Location

Brooke my server in the Elevation Restaurant was very good. All the food recommendation were spot on. I ate in the restaurant all 3 nights and the food and the service were exceptional. Eric at the Front desk was helpful and professional. The area may be walkable, but not for me. I use a Walker and was afraid that I would loose my balance and fall down the hill. Loved the property. Thank you.

The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was neat and well-stocked, and the thermostat controls were easy to use. However, as other guests have noted, the soundproofing is not optimal. The ambient noise from the hallway borders on unbearable. My room is adjacent to the West Exit Stairway, which is used by the housekeeping staff instead of the elevators. I can hear the sounds of the jangling keys and the door opening and closing. This has been going on for several hours. I might be able to tolerate it, if it wasn't for the price point. I will be asking for a different room, but if you want to avoid this experience, be sure to ask for a room that is not near any heavily trafficked areas, especially near a stairwell if you intend to be inside your room during the day.
