Portsmouth Budget Hotels

As advertised, this is is very much a no frills hotel. No breakfast, but tea/coffee making kit in the rooms. Importantly, the hotel is very clean and the rooms have clearly been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was in the rear of the basement and was therefore very quiet, but the view from the window into the light well wasn't pleasant. The arrival experience can be a bit off-putting - no lobby, just a long corridor - and should be improved to offer a more welcoming feel; this is probably not possible, though, given the age/style of building. Good sense of security, even though there's few staff. Good location, easy walking to Victorious festival or into the town centre.

The contact # on the signs on the inside of the room is not working. This needs to be addressed as there is no way of contacting management in case of anything, unless its during check-in times.

One night room for three friends. Great location for travel to IoW ferry the following day, short walk to old town where there’s a great pub for food n drink, also a short walk to other bars nearer the town centre. Everything was good although and I’m not marking down for this… the shower was extremely hot!!

Paid in full had to rearrange booking to a different date and first they promised to do it but didn’t,I had to book a different hotel and no help at all on the phone

Accommodation is basic and comfortable. Good shower. However wrong password was given for WiFi so couldn't use it. Parking between 6pm and 8am is free

Great budget hotel, friendly and polite recetion, lovely and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Like the idea of Key Fob for front door and room door. En-Suite clean, would be nice to have shower gel, shampoo/conditioner bottles. Good area position to Gunwharf Quays/Spinnaker Tower, shops, bars, night clubs 10mins walk, or Southsea Beach in opposite direction. Will be returning, and recommend to anyone for Budget Accommodation.

Bed bugs. Do not advise going here. Staff was nice, but other than that, pretty awful. Thought the bug I saw was a tick I brought in from outside but next day had bites all over and looked it up it was definitely a bed bug. Horrible experience.

The room was suitable for myself and my sons had everything there, our own toilet and shower room, TV, tea and coffee facilities, wardrobe and drawers. Very clean, the room did get pretty warm but there was a fan in the room, we couldve opened the windows but cause we was facing the main road it was pretty noisy even at night. No hairdryer in the room but i asked and was given one to use. All in all for the one night we stayed there it was comfortable and close to all shopping centres
