Room size

Mattress very uncomfortable, bathroom very very small. For same money I experienced better room in town centre.

Clean good sized rooms, very quiet at night and friendly staff when they were there.

Reception not manned all the time and no check out information in the rooms so I had to check booking information online to find out what time I needed to checkout by. Shower didn't drain properly, which apparently is a common problem in the student accommodation blocks too. Iightweight thin duvet, not cold as the temperature in the room was fine but I find thicker and heavier duvets more comfortable. Just personal preference. Main issue was that there was a lot of light in the room during the night. There was a sizable gap at the bottom of the door allowing quite a lot of light in from the corridor. Also there was a very small but bright green light in the ceiling that I think was possibly related to the emergency lighting? There was a large floor to ceiling mirror next on the wall by both of these which reflected the light into the room ever further. Again this is probably just personal preference as I like as little light as possible when trying to sleep. None of these were major issues at all, but without genius discount this room would have cost about £90 for the night. I was expecting better for that price and I don't really feel that I had good value for money.

Lovely spacious room with very clean ensuite.

Breakfast across in the “Market Hall” was ok; very reasonably priced but not much choice.
