Clarion Inn Asheville Airport

It was close to the airport. it was clean and the staff was nice.

the hotel was dated/shabby. Needed to be updated badly. they did not have decaf coffee at the breakfast.

Excellent front desk staff. Great layout and amenities. Room was very clean and nice.

The shower in my room (201) needed some attention. It worked, but seemed to have trouble switching from the tub setting to the showerhead and then drained very slowly. The shuttle was also about 20 minutes late picking me up, but I don't want the shuttle driver to get in trouble - both drivers I had coming to and from the airport were excellent. I think there was just a mixup around the timing. It would be nice if the shuttle ran on a consistent schedule instead of scheduled pickups.

Terrible experience. We found roaches in two side-by-side rooms. After seeing the first two roaches, we called the front desk. We were moved to the adjoining room, but shortly after, another roach ran out from behind the mirror. I took photos of that as well and went to the front desk to show them because the phone in that room would not work. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and implied that if they didn’t find anything, we might be charged. At that point, I showed her the photos, which were clearly taken in their hotel rooms. Since it was late, we were moved again—this time to a room on the first floor. We checked out early to catch our flight and were told someone would follow up with us. That never happened. A few weeks later, after the holidays, I called and left a message for the manager, but still never received a call back. Very unprofessional. I understand that issues can happen, but the lack of response, empathy, and the accusatory attitude were unacceptable. I would not stay here again.
