Comfort Inn Pinehurst - Southern Pines

The front desk was not very welcoming & entry reeked of cigarettes/marijuana.There was a language barrier at check in, so that could be why the vibe felt off. Got to the room & cigarette/marijuana smell lingered. The room looked surface clean but I noticed there was hair in the bathroom floor. Pubic looking hairs, that was distasteful. When I pulled the cover back there was long black hair in it. The outside property was clean, felt safe. I was more concerned about the inside. The workers i encountered during the stay weren’t very pleasant. I walked past one employee, smiled, said good morning and she had no response or smile to share back. Must not be a morning person 😬 I was late for check out because I was in town for an appointment and it ran over. I did try to call but the line was disconnected, eventually a man called from his cell about an hour after checkout time & he was understanding. So that was accommodating and kind because I had no other pleasant experience with the employees. While I didn’t feel leery about the outside and property, I do feel as if there are drug related happenings on the inside. Thankfully I've never struggled with drug addiction but I’ve had loved ones that have & I know the smells. I didn’t only smell weed but it reeked of chemical drugs. If you know you know. The mannerisms/body language of the employees left me suspicious/concerned. Praying for them! It served its purpose though. A roof over us and kept safe 🙏 Considering..

This hotel was great. Very clean. Customer service was awesome. Bed very comfortable. I would stay here again!

I had dirty socks under the covers on the bed I was in. We were moved to another room which was a big inconvenience at 10:30 at night. I was not given a refund. This hotel is horrible.

The walls are paper thin. I had to switch rooms. There was no soap in either room. I was told that the ground floor had recently flooded due to the storm, that was the reason for my stay as well. It was clear there had not been time to mop and it smelled musty. The staff was very friendly though. They were out of supplies the first morning of my stay for breakfast and the staff seemed a bit frazzled. But otherwise they were very nice.

The elevator was very slow once you made you floor selection! What needs immediate attention is the 12 year old Dell 720 computer. It took me 30 minutes to get to my email to print my boarding pass!

3 pm room wasn’t available said to return in half an hour. Came back 1.5 hours later. Room was ready but, there was delay again. Some employees behind counter where have personal problems. Asked mngr what up. He said short staff. No breakfast or coffee, in the morning . 6 to 6:30 am One of the lights in bathroom out.

Very convenient to drive to Candor NC to visit our family in their cemetery. Pinehurst is in the top 10 rated a safest city in NC.

Staff was great! Rooms and surrounding areas very clean.
