The Gate Porto

Localização, tamanho do quarto, cama confortável, toalhas felpudas.

O quarto tinha cheiro muito forte de madeira molhada. Tivemos que dormir com a janela aberta pra aliviar o cheiro. Café da manhã bem simples.

The reception desk is staffed 24/7 which is great, and they are very helpful and nice! In addition, the location is excellent and is located between Sao Bento and Bolhao, meaning that almost all the tourist spots in Porto are walkable. The terrace is also very cozy. The price was also very affordable.

There was significant mold in the room, and we actually had to request a new room due to it. The new room was better but still moldy. You could tell as soon as you walked in through the door, and while you could improve the smell by airing out the room by opening the terrace, it was not possible to do so at night due to traffic noise. The mold is due to Porto's humid climate, and I also noticed that they use steam cleaners to clean the rooms. They should ideally have dehumidifiers or some other measure to manage the humidity in the rooms. The humidity/mold issue is so bad that in the first room, the bathroom door could not close fully and the baseboards near the bathroom were peeling off due to moisture. Also, this didn't bother me, but we stayed while the World Cup was playing. In the nearby Praca Dom Joao, they were livestreaming the games in real time, so it was cool to watch while teams were playing. However, it gets very loud and if you are hanging out in your room, you can hear the announcer and crowd cheers until around midnight.

Albergo centrale e ben posizionato. Le camere sono pulite e funzionali. Il bagno spazioso e pulito. Abbiamo fatto un giro di amici (8 adulti) tutti hanno preso una camera per uso singolo. Tutti sono stati soddisfatti.

Lage

L'hotel ha un'ottima posizione per girare a piedi e ci sono fermate di bus e metro vicine. Molto pulito,tutti i giorni viene pulita la stanza e cambiano gli asciugamani. Forniscono bagnoschiuma,shampoo e crema corpo. Lo staff è gentile.

La colazione non è compresa nel prezzo. È a pagamento. Ha tutto ma potrebbe essere migliorata. Io ho trovato i cuscini un po' scomodi. Nel complesso comunque è una buona struttura.
