The Gate Porto

Location is perfect, almost all sights are on the walking distance, very nice neighbor! Room is spacious, very clean, we were on a 4th floor with terrace, no noise from the streets

Rooms are not so sound proof, you hear cleaning in the morning like in your room :(

- Very convenient location - Room was sufficiently spacious - Many power sockets to charge our devices - Staff was friendly and even provided a great dinner location suggestion nearby - Many food options around

- The first day we realised that the aircon in the room was not functioning. When we informed the staff, the reason given was something about being in the change of seasons which sounded peculiar. Hence, we opened the balcony door slightly to let the cool air in for the night - However, the next day when we got back from our sightseeing, the aircon was working well!

Siisti huone, joka vastasi kuvia. Kylpyhuone iso ja suihkusta sai lämmintä vettä nopeasti. Keskeinen sijainti, hyvät yhteydet julkisilla ja kävellen. Henkilökunta ystävällistä.

Hotel está localizado no coração da cidade do Porto, próximo a teatros (Teatro Sá da Bandeira e Teatro Rivoli), cafés e restaurantes. O hotel está bem próximo também da icônica Estação Ferroviária de São Bento, com seus maravilhosos paineis em azulejo, bem como de outros locais que merecem ser visitados, como a Sé do Porto, a Livraria Lello, a Torre dos Clérigos, a rua das Flores. O pessoal do hotel é simpático e prestativo. O quatro tem boa estrutura, com cama e travesseiro bons. O café da manhã é bom e variado.

Foi a terceira vez que estive no Gate, e normalmente volto por sua localização e ter uma boa relação custo x benefício. Mas creio que houve uma piora no serviço e instalações.

O café da manhã piorou muito. No último dia preferimos tomar café em outro lugar. O quarto que ficamos era muito pequeno, o controle do ar condicionado fixado na parede e só com a opção de aquecimento, enquanto estava calor .

The location is excellent, making it very easy to reach all the main attractions. The room itself looks nice at first glance, and the soundproofing, while not perfect, was more than acceptable for a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, the floor was in very poor condition, clearly swollen due to humidity. Upon arrival, there was a strong musty and damp smell; we had to leave the windows open for a few hours before the air became acceptable. With a bit more maintenance and better ventilation, it would be a much better stay.
