Wyndham Bloomington - Mall of America

Pay to park, lady at desk was pushy and rude and pay for breakfast 😒 is wildly wack! It's not that fancy for having to pay to park and pay to eat breakfast. Room is damp and moist and smelled wet. I paid almost $400 dollars for the room for two nights and at least I could get is complimentary breakfast and parking. We're not even that close to the airport. I have never heard of having to pay to park or pay for breakfast. We will not be returning here. We'll go to the Hilton where it's all included and much better. We wanted to try something new and it was and is a disappointment. Hot tub down since beginning of March and it's today the 25th of March. Nothing in the weight room works or properly.

They do not provide breakfast anymore. There is no longer a hot tub. They tell you that the parking is $10 but you actually get charged $12. They do not give you a discount for the loss of amenities that they used to provide so you pay the same price for less. No shampoo or conditioner was in the bathroom. Asked for an extra blanket for the sleeper sofa and was told they had no extras so had to go back to my house to bring one to the hotel.

No breakfast included...that was one of the reasons I booked. And had to pay for parking? What an inconvenience

Hot tub was broken, most of the equipment in the athletic room was broken, holes in the wall in our room, we had to ask for sheets for the pullout couch and the ones we were given had holes. Parking isn't free, online said a free continental breakfast there was none. We had to wait until 4:40 at check in as the rooms weren't clean yet. Even though 4:00 is supposed to be check in. The safety deposit is a whopping $200 instead of the standard $100 at most places. The pool area was definitely in need of cleaning and renovation. For the price of one night I was definitely underwhelmed and won't be returning.

What I liked about the property was its convenient location, especially being so close to the Mall of America. It made it easy to access shopping, dining, and entertainment without needing to travel far.

What I didn’t like about the property was that the overall experience didn’t match what I expected. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the hot tub and water area, but the hot tub was out of service the entire stay, which was really disappointing. The pool was also extremely cold the first night—almost unbearable—and the chlorine seemed very strong, to the point it was burning our eyes. There were also a few smaller issues that added up. The ice machine right by our room wasn’t working, and when we requested an ice bucket, it was never brought to us—we ended up having to go get it ourselves hours later. Service was a bit inconsistent as well. One of the daytime staff members was very kind and helpful, but our experience in the evening wasn’t the same and felt unwelcoming. Overall, it just didn’t feel as comfortable or well-maintained as I had anticipated.

I liked that it was close to mall of America

The hot tub didn’t work, many items in the room were broken like the handles on the dresser and towel rack in the bathroom.
