Super location, comfortable rooms, decent gym and a very well stocked on-premise store (for snacks, coffee etc)

The folks at the front desk were not always helpful. 3 times during our 4-day stay, I asked for change of a $100 bill (to pay for tips) and they flat out said “No”. It felt that they were not even listening to the request - the “No” was instantaneous. In another incident, at checkout, I handed over some change (coins etc) and asked them to net off against my invoice and charge the balance on my credit card. Done this a thousand times at other hotels without any problem. Here again, the answer was “No”. It felt that they were just not interested in helping out. Having said that, the staff in the breakfast restaurant was excellent. Very caring and helpful (2 ladies).

Excellent experience. From the moment I checked in, the gentleman at the front desk—whose name tag read “Captain”—was welcoming and helpful. On Saturday evening, we returned to our room to find a thoughtful note from Mari wishing us a good night’s sleep. Every detail was appreciated, and everything was perfect.

The service was great and the food was as well. The staff here are always very friendly and helpful.

The reception area and the bed are of excellent size.

The hotel and rooms are immaculate, the staff is helpful and kind, the restaurant, cafe, market and food were all incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed at the double tree for a school trip to Washington, DC. We had about 275 people with our group. The rooms were comfortable. The only complaint was that some of the toilets kept clogging. After 11pm there was no one to fix this, but the hotel was helpful in moving a room since they couldn’t fix the problem. We had a breakfast buffet every morning. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our students with allergies were taken care of. The even provided snack bags for all of our students for their ride home.

Sintayehu at Tyson’s Social Tavern was amazing!! 10/10 service.

Zui and Captain always give me a warm welcome when I stay here for business, making my stay as comfortable as possible. I frequently stay at the Double Tree and find the rooms to be clean and spacious. But it is the staff that really make the experience stand out.
