Discovery Resorts - Rottnest Island

Pool, breakfast and proximity to the beach.

We got there early and could not check in so we went out riding around the island. When we got back we were given our key, we got to the room and it only had a double bed when we had booked a family. We went back to reception and staff at the bar could not help and needed to call a manager. The manager told us someone else had been given our room. Very stressful when you have an exhausted family and not sure where we can sleep and you have spent $680 per night. He did manage to find us a family room but not sure it was worth the money. Given the whole situation and the fact I had mentioned on the booking that it was our wedding anniversary I did think he may have apologized for the inconvenience and offered us a drink at the bar or something.

A beautiful place in a very strategic location, with restaurants, cafés, and everything nearby, easy to walk or ride a bike, which made it super convenient. The glamping itself is lovely, with plenty of space to feel comfortable, and the bathroom was great as well. I was very pleased with the overall stay. The buffet breakfast had a good variety and was enjoyable. The only thing to note is that it’s best to arrive a bit early, as the seating area can fill up quickly and it may be harder to find a table later on. Overall, the amenities were beautiful, and both check-in and check-out were excellent.

Had to wait until 2pm to get access when place was not very full. Luggage had to be ready for collection at 8am. Noisy humming noise continually from building behind tent. View and immediate environment from Superior tent dissapointing.

Unique. Tent accommodation. Excellent breakfast

Very noisy, music blaring after 10pm. The shower would pulse 5 secs of hot followed by 5 mins of cold. Crazy.
